"Slainte" means "cheers" - a great name for this seven-piece band specialising in Celtic music. They have built up a massive following among fans in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland , America and Italy. In their quieter numbers, they conjure up sounds that delight and captivate audiences. In the instrumental sets, they have an amazing pace and energy. The tempo hots up, the harmonies get thrown in all directions, and everything is treated with fabulous musicianship and a sense of enjoyment that is totally infectious. This band creates great, entertaining performances. Slainte features seven members who between them play an extraordinary variety of instruments - harp, highland pipes, penny whistles, flute, fiddles, guitars, banjo, electric bass, mandolin, bodhran, bouzouki and a range of harmonic voices - which means a huge range of sounds. Come and see us - you'll be glad you did! In the words of Padraig Duggan, from Clannad, "I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone for an outstanding evening's entertainment". Slainte are available for private and public bookings.
